Do you have the right people in your tribe?

Life online can be lonely and running a business online can be even lonelier.
Spending hour upon hour by... your... self. Sat at your desk, (or on the sofa with a blanket and a packet of biscuits, if you're anything like me!) It can be tedious and boring.
There's no-one to bounce ideas off, to moan to, to celebrate with!
Day...
After day....
After day.....
So what's a lonely solopreneur to do?
It's time to find your tribe! Your group of like-minded entrepreneurs. Your online community.
How do I do that?
I was lucky that very early on in my new solopreneur journey I was given some excellent advice on networking by the wonderful Cheryl Beckworth at the Grounded Goddess.
Getting out there into the big, wide (and sometimes scary) world of Facebook!
Talking to people and building relationships.
It was daunting at first, and I totally felt like a fraud. Here I was calling myself self employed, daring to call myself a copywriter. Daring to dance their dance, walk their walk. I felt someone would call me out any minute - "Hey you! You don't belong here!"
But instead what happened was something unexpected and wonderful.
I was raw, I was honest and above all I stayed true to my values.
I introduced myself in as many groups as I could as a new copywriter looking to make connections. I owned my inexperience and let my energy and enthusiasm shine through...
.... and I found my people!

People who just get me and my business. Who have understood what my offline friends and family cannot. Who have spurred me on and encouraged me when my real life friends have not.
They are my community, my tribe and my friends who have been there for me from day 1.
I am so grateful for the advice that I was given during those first few weeks of launching my business. Network - it's invaluable for your business (and your sanity!)
So I'm spreading the love in the hope that it will help you too!
Here are some of the Facebook groups that have helped me find my tribe:
